Co-operatives First is hosting to celebrate Small Business Week and Co-op Week. Starting October 14th to November 14th, groups can pitch their co-op business idea for a chance to win $15,000 in start-up support. Also, everyone who signs up for our Co-op Entrepreneur online course will be entered for a chance to win a $100 Co-op gift card.
To enter, groups submit a short, written pitch of their co-op idea through our online form. The prize package includes organizational design, business planning and/or coaching, incorporation support, and board governance training. The competition is open to groups forming co-ops in the four Western Canadian provinces.
