Intake Period: March 16, 2026 – June 15, 2026
The Saskatchewan Blue Cross Health & Wellness Scholarship will award $2,500 each to four (4) successful applicants per year.
The Saskatchewan Blue Cross Wellness Scholarship is open to Saskatchewan high school graduates, returning post-secondary students and mature students who will be attending a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution prior to the end of the current year.
To be eligible, the applicant must:
- Be a Saskatchewan resident
- Submit only one application per person
- Be a Saskatchewan high school graduate, returning post-secondary student, or mature student who will be attending a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution prior to the end of the current year
Applicants will be required to:
- Complete the online application form with current contact and post-secondary information.
- Provide a reference that Saskatchewan Blue Cross may contact to verify information provided within the application. This person should be aware that the applicant is applying for the scholarship and cannot be a family member.
- Submit their application within the intake period (March 16 – June 15, 2026) and through the online application form to be eligible for consideration.
- Provide release of information allowing Saskatchewan Blue Cross to release and utilize their photo which would include the applicant’s name, location (city/town only), school information and post-secondary information, answers to the Health Literacy, Community Health and Wellbeing, and Diversity and Inclusion questions submitted (in whole or part) as required for the purpose of scholarship promotion.
- Provide declaration with regards to the information provided.
- Applicants will be required to answer the following questions:
- Health Literacy: How does the applicant access and take control over their own healthcare decisions.
- Community health and wellbeing: How does the applicant’s own actions improve and or contribute (i.e. volunteering) to the community that they live in.
- Diversity and Inclusion: How does the applicant’s own actions support and foster an inclusive and equitable community so others may feel valued, respected and supported.
Applicants will be asked and required to confirm that they are not an immediate family member of any current employee of Saskatchewan Blue Cross. For the purposes of this application, “immediate family member” includes a spouse, common-law partner, parent, child, sibling, or any person residing in the same household. If selected, successful applicants must provide:
- A letter of conditional acceptance or proof of enrolment to a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution in a full-time program of at least two years in duration, including certificate, diploma, undergraduate and graduate programs; and
- Proof of tuition prior to the scholarship being awarded.
- A reference that Saskatchewan Blue Cross may contact to verify information provided on the application.
- Release of information and declaration as outlined in full scholarship details.
