_____________
So far in 2026, Saskatchewan has recorded 344 wildfires, compared to 508 at this time last year. The five-year average to date is 517 wildfires.
While the number of active wildfires remains low, the risk of new fire starts is still present. Residents are encouraged to stay alert and help prevent wildfires by following local fire restrictions and practicing safe outdoor activities.
_____________
So far in 2026, Saskatchewan has responded to 47 flooding incidents. While the Agency is not involved in any active flooding events at this time, the Recovery Task Team (RTT) continues to provide support to the dozens of communities that were impacted by flooding this spring and summer.
Do not drive through flooded roads. Even shallow water can make roads unsafe and difficult to assess.
