RCMP Criminal Record Checks

Message from Loon Lake RCMP

LOON LAKE RCMP

ATTENTION RESIDENTS RESIDING IN THE LOON LAKE RCMP JURISDICTION:

Please be advised with Meadow Lake hosting the 2026 Winter Games the Detachment is anticipating a significant influx of requests for Criminal Record Checks as residents in our Jurisdiction sign up to Volunteer for the games over the next three weeks.

Please be advised that in support of our neighbouring community hosting the games for the Month of February the Detachment is requiring ALL persons to call ahead of time to schedule their checks.  To also accommodate the Detachment will open two evenings these being Wednesday February 4th and Thursday February 12th from 5pm to 9pm to allow us to accommodate.

NOTE:  Vulnerable Sector checks will not be completed if there is only a chance encounter of a Volunteer being left alone unsupervised with a vulnerable person.  It is against the law for a Vulnerable Sector check to be completed if the person applying is not directly left in a position of trust or authority unsupervised for an extended period of time.  If you meet the criteria the Organization is legally required to provide a letter specific to you outlining the details of your duties that requires you to be left unsupervised with a vulnerable person.

Loon Lake Detachment will resume only completing the checks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9am to noon and 1pm to 4pm on Monday February 16th.
