🌕 Don’t Miss the Lunar Eclipse! 🌑
Keep your eyes on the sky Thursday night, August 27!
A near-total lunar eclipse will be visible across Saskatchewan as the Full Moon passes through Earth’s shadow. At its peak, roughly 96% of the Moon will be covered, leaving only a small sliver illuminated. The Moon may also take on a beautiful reddish or copper colour. 🌕✨
For Saskatchewan skywatchers, the partial eclipse begins Thursday evening and continues into the night, with the best part of the show happening later in the evening.
Unlike a solar eclipse, no special glasses are needed — a lunar eclipse is perfectly safe to watch with your eyes. Binoculars or a telescope can make the view even better!
☁️ Fingers crossed for clear skies!
